CLASSES OF PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS / MODULE ASSEMBLIES BASED ON IPC



Class 1 : Entertainment Electronics such as TV , VCD, DVD, Computers, Mobiles etc.- only basic functioning is the criteria.


Class 2 : Professional Electronics such as communication equipment , sophisticated business machines, instruments and military equipment – criteria is high level performance
and extended life.

Class 3 : PCBs’ used for space ,defence , medical applications where high reliability , un-interrupted/ continuous performance is very important. Traceability shall be established for the PCBs
